Setting up payouts

Connect your account once, then take card and bank payments from clients.

Open Settings, then Payments and payouts, then tap Set up payouts. It takes about five minutes and runs through Stripe, who handle the identity checks and the bank details.

You will need your business details and the bank account you want paid into. Stripe asks for these directly — BounceDay never sees or stores your bank details.

When you come back, the screen re-checks your status on its own. Returning from Stripe is not the same as being finished, so do not be surprised if it still says "Finish setting up" — that means Stripe is still waiting on something.

The screen shows you exactly where you stand: not set up, finishing, under review, paused, or active. Once it says Payouts active, you can take money.

Every charge is made on your own Stripe account, so the money is never ours to hold. Payouts land on your own schedule, straight from Stripe into an account you own. There is no BounceDay balance in between, and no waiting on us to release anything.

Taking card and bank payments works on every plan, including Free. What changes between plans is the platform fee, not whether you can collect.

If Stripe pauses your account, the screen says so and gives you a way through to Stripe to sort it out. While it is paused you can still record payments you took another way.
