  • Anchor every unit fully. Use every anchor point the manufacturer built into the unit. Not half. Not the four corners because the ground is hard on the back side. Partial anchoring gives no protection. A unit that is 80 percent anchored can still lift, roll, or tip in the wrong gust, and the missing anchors are exactly where it fails. Full or nothing.

Anchoring on grass versus hard surfaces

Grass and soil
